PADI Boat Diver Ok, ok. We know what you think. Why on earth would you want to do a specialty called "boat diving specialty" if all you do normally is jump in the water..... of a boat? How interesting you should ask. If you think that the Boat Diver Specialty is all about how to jump off a boat safely, you're wrong! Jumping of boats is covered broadly in the PADI Open Water Diver course; no need to go over this again. (for most) So what do we go over then? Here's a list of what you will learn: Boat diving planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards Proper boat diving etiquette, including equipment storage and conduct Common boat terminology Specific and local boat diving laws and ordinances Overview of emergency and safety equipment needed on private dive boats.
