The Professional Association of Diving Instructors was founded in 1966 and has been developing and improving their diving programs continuesly. Today, several decades later, their curicullum include an incredible number of diving courses from beginner level all the way up to the highest instructor levels.
Here at CDC we can offer you all standardised and a couple of location specific courses. All courses follow standard procedures that are recognised by international standards. for some programs you can even get ACE credits (and/or other educational body) credits!
PADI also has ties into several other worldwide organisations making PADI the most successful and effective instructional body in the world of recreational diving.
Therefore, you really can not go wrong taking your classes conform the PADI standard. If you strive for a worldwide recognised credential, wether this is on a pure recreational or even on a professional level. You will want to start getting PADI certified.
Our resident staff consists of four top members in the PADI society. One PADI Course Director and Three PADI IDCS Staff Instructor who are working and very close to becoming PADI Master Instructors. There aren't many places you can go and be taught by instructors this highly qualified.
All staff has been hand picked because of their specific qualities and together we form a solid staff ready to take you for a diving adventure with guaranteed satisfaction. All of us have had respectful and well paid jobs in the past. The reason why we teach diving, is because we want you to experience the same thrill that we got out of it when we started.
Our variety of courses is really huge. We can teach all PADI specialties, except for the ones that are impossible to do in the local area. For instance PADI Ice Diver might be a problem unless you bring the ice for us!. For a full list of all we can do we encourage you to flip through our course menu.
And if the PADI variety wasn't enough, we are also capable of teaching you an arsenal of additional courses.
All course activities are led by our Course Director and evaluated per event. This ensures all courses are taught top quality.
Certified. Now what?
After getting certified as a PADI diver, a lot of divers make the mistake of not getting back into the water immediately. This is too bad. Not only is this a real waste of skill you just mastered, but they also do not take the oppertunity to enjoy diving to the max.
You, of course, should not become one of them.
There are a number of options you have. You could join our diveteam DiveStyle if you are on the island for a longer period. Membership of DiveStyle gives you a lot of discount on retail, dive prices, courses and of course there is the free monthly Barbeque on the last Sunday of the month.
If you are travelling, or are going back home soon, just sign up for a couple of additional dives. Don't worry about any skill practise, but just go diving. So many options! Ask your instructor about them!
