PADI Equipment SpecialistEver wondered how exactly your regulator works? Would you like to take one apart? Would you consequently also like to be able to put it back together and be able to breath from it?Although formally the Equipment Specialist Specialty teaches you only basic maintenance of your dive gear, we at the Caribbean Dive College take the time to complement this specialty with a hands on regulator clinic. We feel that this really makes you understand a little bit more what is going on and it definitely shines a light on the big regulator mystery. Especially if you would be interested in doing some servicing for a dive shop, this can be a valuable head start. To become certified as a service technician for a certain brand of equipment, you will have to attend to a service clinic for that particular brand. The funny thing is that in order to do these clinics, you will need some general understanding of how the stuff works. |
In all normal cases, this means that you are kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. But.... no longer! With the specialty that we organise in your pocket; those clinics can be attended to without a problem. It behoves you to invest in the Recreational Encyclopedia of Diving, and read up on some stuff before or during your equipment specialty classes. This way you are better prepped for all the stuff we will go over.
