PADI Fish Identification

PADI Fish Identification Specialty Diving is a beautyful experience. Every time you go out there into the great blue, you have a chance to see beautyful species and although this by itself is greatly rewarding... wouldn't it be fantastic to actually know what you are looking at? The PADI Fish ID specialty teaches you in one day how you can quickly get this knowledge. Obviously you will be looking at fish. You will be categorising them by family and learn some `magic tricks` to quickly recognise them or be able to locate them in an enceclopedia. Once you are able to master the art of Fish Identification, the data that you and your instructor gathered, will be entered in the database of the Reef Aliance for scientific research. Not only do you get to add to your own knowledge, but you will also be contributing to the knowledge we have globally when it comes to species and their abundance in certain areas of our blue planet.

Gathering this data gives scientists around the globe an overview of the health status of our oceans and inland waters, which, in return can result in correct actions taken in order to prevent extinction of species by human interacting.
