In a short time, usually around you will be mastering 14 skills in a confined water environment, then show them in open water, do a little theory and explore the local environment under the direction of one of our PADI Instructors. PADI Open Water Diver The full Open Water Diver course leads to a certification that allows you to go diving with another certified buddy. You do not require you to be lead by a PADI Divemaster or higher anymore. It also takes you beyond 40ft / 12mtr, to a maximum depth of 60ft / 18mtr. The real advantage is that you could simply invest in your own diving gear and go out diving. PADI divecenters are found all over the world and the PADI Open Water certification is a certification that is recognised by all other dive shops in the world.
